Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly; All your life you were only waiting for this moment to arise.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these sunken eyes and learn to see; All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to be free.
–From the song Blackbird, by Lennon & McCartney
There are certain points in life where everything seems to fall into place and you briefly ascend to a place where you have a clear view of things. In those moments, you can see how all the previous moments led up to where you are here and now. There are moments when you can shake off the chains that bind and the tunnel vision that restricts your view and you can see and be farther and greater. In such a moment you can mount the sky and ride a bolt of lightning from one corner of the world to the other. You can reach out and touch the very force that called the universe into being, and you know that you have that force within you, and you are indeed a very part of that force. You feel as though you could shoot electricity out from your finger tips, and call galaxies and worlds into being with the slightest of words, even of thoughts. You are so small, and yet so great.
